“6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7. And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.”
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Our Focal Scripture speaks of the fact that Elizabeth was barren. It was not that she did not receive seed; the challenge was that she received seed but could not conceive. She got what should lead to a result, but she got no result. She got what should cause her to celebrate and be congratulated; others got same and eventually had children, but for her, it was a tale of seed without harvest. It was a tale of effort without result.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every cycle of seed without harvest, is broken. Every cycle of efforts without results, is broken by fire. Every voice that says that you will not harvest results from your efforts, today, I silence that voice. I silence the voice of barrenness. I silence the voice of dryness. I silence every voice that is speaking against the birthing of your results. I cut short every plan to make you barren.
Elizabeth would have received seed again and again, but she ended up growing old, yet without a child. So it was not a one-off case of dryness and barrenness. It was a case of efforts after efforts that led to no results. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will no longer make repeated efforts and end up with no results. You will not be counted amongst them that tried again and again, but did not succeed. You won’t be barren.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: today, a new season of all round fruitfulness is unveiled before you. You will move from result to result. Everything you touch will yield a heavy harvest. Your fields will be fruitful. The works of your hands will be fruitful. Your labours will come with mega results. In fact, your results and harvest will exceed your labour. You will be counted amongst them that are manifestly fruitful. You will carry results like never before.
Today marks your exit from the company of the unfruitful. Henceforth, your efforts will no longer be fruitless. Your seeds will yield a harvest.
2 Corinthians 9: 10 says: “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;”
Declare With Me: I break out of unfruitfulness; my seeds will yield a harvest, in Jesus’ name!
