NSPPD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY
“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.”
Our Focal Scripture speaks of the ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. The person they were about to get connected to, was described as a bridegroom. The word ‘bridegroom’ is made up of two words, bride and groom. So the person they went to meet was someone who could groom them. It was a relationship/connection that had the capacity to groom them. These women were virgins, but they needed grooming.
Friend, one of the ways that God preserves your destiny is to send you men that will groom you. It may be exciting to be connected to men that will give you material things, but there is a higher need for men who will groom you to become a better person. You have need of men who can look you eyeball to eyeball and call you out when they need to. You need men who can sharpen your destiny until your cutting edge is super sharp.
Today, I pray for you: receive the gift of men that will help you rise higher. Receive the gift of men that will increase your knowledge and exposure. Receive the gift of good men that will position you for more improvement and advancement. Receive the gift of good men that will not be satisfied with your good but will push until you get to your best. Receive the gift of good men that will work on you to become a better version of yourself.
Even when you imagine that you are already good, you need men who will push you to go the extra mile. You need men who will not be impressed with your yesterday’s excellence. You need men who will demand more from you than your cheerleaders are willing to demand. You need men who will see your best and demand that it be even better. You need men who will groom you to fit into that next level you desire in 2023.
You may be good enough already, but you still need grooming. This year, you shall have the blessing of connection to the men that will groom you into a greater person.
Proverbs 27: 17 says: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
