Who is the founder of Sphere of Light Church?
Sphere of Light Church, founded by Pastor Femi Lazarus, was officially inaugurated on June 9th, 2018. It originated as a ministry called “Friends of the Word” in 2014, with meetings held on Fridays and Sunday evenings at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife.
As a church commissioned by God, Sphere of Light Church’s mission is to raise God’s end-time armies. Apostle Femi Victor Lazarus, the founder of Femi Lazarus Ministries Ecumenical (FLAME), serves as the apostolic arm of the church.
Currently, Sphere of Light Church has three branches located in Ibadan, Ile-Ife, and Lagos. It initially started in Ile-Ife, Osun State, but after receiving direction from God to expand to Ibadan, a branch was officially opened there on January 19th, 2020. Additionally, Sphere of Light Church runs the LA Church, a campus-based church for students, with two branches in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the University of Ibadan respectively. The church continues to grow, both in terms of physical members and online followers.
Apostle Femi Lazarus was consecrated as an Apostle on June 12th, 2022, during the Festival of Life Anniversary of Sphere of Light Church, Ibadan. His linguistic prowess is noteworthy, as he is fluent in Yoruba, English, and Hausa, with a good command of the Igbo language. Furthermore, he is also a skilled realtor associated with Light City Homes, showcasing his diverse talents and abilities.
Pastor Femi is joyfully married to the esteemed Pastor Miracle Femi-Lazarus, an accomplished graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She is a prolific Christian writer and the visionary convener of Mimie Passions, where she passionately advocates for godly lifestyle and virtues. She is also a jovial and loving micro-biologist, adding to her multifaceted personality. The couple exchanged vows on December 12th, 2020, and were blessed with a precious daughter, Mofifunoluwa Abigail Femi-Lazarus, on November 26th, 2021.
