TODAY’S SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL
In life, one good thing God does for people, among many others, is to place them under a prophet who oversees the affairs of their lives for the purpose of destiny fulfilment. I will tell you a story to drive home this point.
Many years ago, when we wanted to build the church, Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Area 1, Abuja, Nigeria, I told my father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo about it. And he said, “Don’t touch the ground until you bring the architectural design for me to see.”
So, I took the design to him and he looked at it and asked, “How many people do you want this auditorium to sit?”
When I told him, he multiplied the length of the building by the width and divided it by a figure and then said, “What you get is not up to the number you have in mind. What you will do is: knock off the inner walls to increase the width if you want the sanctuary to sit the number of people you have in mind.”
And I assured him that we would do exactly that.
And when we followed his instructions, what he said came to pass.
You see, the strength of your direction determines the vibrancy of your destiny. But someone may be so proud that he doesn’t want to be instructed.
A young lady remained unmarried for seventeen years because she refused to listen to instruction. Her pastor tried to assist her, seventeen years earlier and told her, “Come, let me talk to you. You need direction from God in the area of marriage.” But she refused to listen to her pastor because she saw herself to be a “professional” who was too big to be instructed.
Although she had a car and a house, she remained “professionally” single because of her refusal to be instructed.
Beloved, determine to listen to Divine instructions for the enhancement of your destiny.
REMEMBER THIS: The strength of your direction determines the vibrancy of your destiny.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse the lifestyle of pride and arrogance; accept Divine instructions and direction.
- Bring yourself under a prophetic cover and be willing to accept instructions from God through your prophet for the fulfilment of your destiny.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to remain humble so I can receive the right instructions for my destiny. Deliver me from pride and disobedience to Divine instruction, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
