Streams of Joy Daily Devotional 27th December 2022.
“When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.”
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When the wise men got a signal that a new king had been born, they went to Jerusalem. They imagined that the new king that had just been born would be born within Jerusalem. Jerusalem looked like the rightful place for a new king to be born. Jerusalem looked like the most likely place. Notice that Jesus was not born in Jerusalem; He was born in Bethlehem of Judah. He showed up in the least expected place. He showed up in an unlikely place.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: mighty things are showing up for you in the most unlikely of places. You will run into mega opportunities in places you least expected. You will walk into major helpers in the most unlikely of places. You will receive angelic help when you least expect it. You will see the hand of God move in your favour in ways and manners you never imagined. You will find favour from quarters you never expected it.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: you have entered into a new season of miracles and good news from unlikely sources. Men you do not know will arise and help you. In places you never imagined help could arise from, you will receive help like never before. What your ‘Jerusalem’ did not give you, your ‘Bethlehem’ will give you. What the men you know could not give you, men you do not know will give it to you. Mega results will emerge in unexpected places and circumstances.
At some point, you may need to halt your fixation on the ‘Jerusalem’s of this world and expect good news from your ‘Bethlehem’. You may need to stop focusing on those places you believe that help would arise from, and keep your mind open, knowing that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wisdom of the wise. God is not even limited to the “Jerusalem’s of this world. God is not bound by those places you are hoping on.
The same God that caused Jesus to arrive through Bethlehem of Judah will cause great things to arise for you from the places you least expected. Receive your mega good news from unlikely sources.
Isaiah 41: 18 says: “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”
Declare With Me: I receive good news from unlikely sources, in Jesus’ name!
