History of Elevation Church – Pastor Steven Furtick.
Who is the founder of Elevation Church?
Prior to when he founded the Church – Elevation Church, in 2006, then Steven Furtick served as worship leader at Christ Covenant Church in Shelby, North Carolina in 2004. The church started with his family and seven (7) other families. The kick-off (first) service was held on February 5th 2006.
As a man, full of grace, and in the spirit of founders, he helped found the music group Elevation Worship In 2007, as a songwriter and since has been nominated for GMA Dove and Grammy Awards, as well as winning a Grammy for their album, Old Church Basement.
Elevation church gave $40,000 to members in envelopes with $5, $20, and even $1,000, telling them to spend it kindly on others in the year 2007. This move was reported on air.
In view of his mission and desire to be a blessing to his city and support our leaders with a volunteer force they can count on.” More than 1,600 members responded and committed to mentoring a child for the 2012–2013 school year, when Furtick launched an outreach program at Elevation Church called the M1 Initiative in 2012.
He has participated in a number of events all over the world, speaking at conferences,, some of which are highlighted as follows;

Steven Furtick is a pastor, Grammy-award-winning songwriter, and producer, & New York Times best-selling author. He is the lead pastor of Elevation church.
As an evangelical Pastor of Baptist denomination, he is also a songwriter for the Elevation Worship. He has impacted and reached many regions of the world through online streaming, television, and the music of Elevation Worship.
He studied at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he bagged a master of divinity degree and is the author of Crash the Chatterbox, Greater, Sun Stand Still, (Un)Qualified, Seven-Mile Miracle. Pastor Steven and Holly live in Charlotte, NC with their two sons, Elijah and Graham, and daughter, Abbey.
