The Topic for Today 27th September 2023 Is: The Blood Speaks
“Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father’s household, home unto thee.”
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When it was time for Rahab to help the spies from Israel to escape, she used a scarlet thread to let them down the wall of Jericho. Notice that the men had also agreed with her, that the same scarlet thread would be tied to her window, so that she can escape the wrath of Israel. The scarlet thread disconnected her from the destruction that came on others. One of the colours of scarlet, is red, symbolic of blood.
So impliedly, blood was speaking for Rahab. The blood of the covenant was speaking for Rahab. She may not have been qualified to be saved, but blood was speaking volumes on her behalf. Blood spoke that whatever was to be done against the inhabitants of Jericho would not be done to Rahab. By reason of the blood that spoke for Rahab, she enjoyed exemption from the judgment that came on the inhabitants of Jericho.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the blood will speak for your exemption from disaster. The blood will cause you to be exempted from m negativity. The blood will speak for you to be exempted from tragedy. The blood will speak for you to be exempted from misfortunes that others are dealing with. The blood will speak for you to be preserved no matter the negativity that arises towards the end of the year.
Even God had decreed disaster on the entire Jericho, but the scarlet, symbolizing blood, spoke in favour of Rahab. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the blood of Jesus speaks on your behalf. The blood of Jesus speaks in favour of your rising. The blood of Jesus speaks for your advancement. The blood of Jesus speaks life for you in the midst of death. The blood of Jesus will position you for mercy. The blood of Jesus will cause you to be exempted.
If Jesus has redeemed you, then His blood will speak for you to be exempted from disaster. As surely as the Lord lives, you will not be swallowed by any negativity.
Hebrews 12: 24 says: “And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”
Declare With Me: The blood of Jesus speaks for me; I am exempted from negativity, in Jesus’ name!
