The Topic for Today 2nd July 2023 Is: Divinely Rewarded
Focal Scripture: Psalm 23: 3
“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist speaks about how the Lord restores his soul. The word ‘restore’ as used in that scripture, comes from the Hebrew word ‘shalam’. Another meaning of ‘shalam’ is ‘to receive the reward’. So the psalmist was simply saying that the Shepherd causes him to have his reward. The concept of reward presupposes that there has been an effort or labour. So the psalmist declared that the Lord brings his reward.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: this is the season of your reward. God is about to reward you for all the efforts you have made in His vineyard. You will be rewarded in your career; you will be rewarded in your business; you will be rewarded in your family; you will be rewarded all around; you will be rewarded by kings; you will be rewarded beyond your imaginations; you will be rewarded with compensation, more than you worked for.
You will not labour and another man will enjoy your harvest; you will not labour and your reward will be diverted; you will not labour and your results will be stolen from you; you will not labour to be elevated and another man will be elevated in your place; you will not lose your reward; you will not be absent in the day of your reward; you will not be unfit in the day of your reward; you will not be attacked in the time of reward.
You will not labour and another man will enjoy your harvest; you will not labour and your reward will be diverted; you will not labour and your results will be stolen from you; you will not labour to be elevated and another man will be elevated in your place; you will not lose your reward; you will not be absent in the day of your reward; you will not be unfit in the day of your reward; you will not be attacked in the time of reward.
Voices that say you will not live to enjoy the reward of your labour, let the voice of the Lord shut them up. Every altar that says you will labour but another will have your reward, let it be scattered. Every arrangement to deny you of the rewards that God has laid on your path, let the fire of God answer. Let the fire of God burn every hand that has come to tamper with your reward. Let the fire of God consume the hijackers of your reward.
As surely as the Lord lives, you will not miss your reward. You will not lose your portion. No power and no one will divert your reward.
