NSPPD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY
The topic for Today 19th January 2023 is: Pay on Time
“But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.”
In our Focal Scripture, the wise virgins told the foolish ones to go to them that sell and buy extra oil. So there was a possibility of buying oil, but the foolish ones did not buy ahead of time. There was an option of paying the price for extra oil, but the foolish virgins did not pay the price on time. Notice that when they eventually paid the price and got extra oil, the door had been shut. They paid the price late, and they missed their chance.
Friend, in 2023, whereas it is important to pay the price, it is also important that you pay the price on time. Pay the price for the greatness you desire before the doors of greatness are shut against you. Pay the price of prayer ahead of time before the enemy makes mincemeat of your destiny. Pay the price of consecration on time before you become an unused substitute in a game you should have been part of. Pay the price on time.
The fact that the foolish virgins eventually paid the price and got oil, albeit belatedly, meant that they could have actually paid the same price on time. The fact that they eventually got oil meant that the capacity to pay the price was there ahead of time. You already have the capacity to pay the price, so you might as well pay it on time. Pray on time. Improve yourself on time. Gain more knowledge on time. Push for greatness on time.
The foolish virgins paid the price late, and they missed out on purpose. They missed the chance to meet the bridegroom because they paid the price late. May it never be said that in 2023, you had the door of the new slammed against you because you were not willing to pay the price on time. May it never be said that you missed out on destiny because you failed to do what you ought to do on time. May it never be said that you came late.
That voice that always tells you to pay the price late, is not of God and is not in your interest. Arise, put away procrastination, do what is needed, and do it on time.
Hosea 13: 13 MSG says: “When birth pangs signaled it was time to be born, Ephraim was too stupid to come out of the womb. When the passage into life opened up, he didn’t show”
Declare With Me: I will pay the price on time in 2023, in Jesus’ name!
