NSPPD DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY

TOPIC FOR TODAY 25TH NOVEMBER: NEW REVELATIONS
Focal Scripture: Genesis 37: 4-5
“4. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. 5. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.”
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father loved him more than them all, they hated him, and the next thing the bible said about Joseph was that he dreamed a dream. His father had earlier made him a coat of many colours, but he didn’t immediately have a dream. The moment his brothers hated him, a dream came forth. Their hatred provoked a dream; the discomfort they threw at him provoked an uncommon dream. Friend, let every discomfort around you provoke a new dream in you. Let everything around you that is not working cause your mind to get to work. Let the wickedness of men around you provoke you into higher ideas and deeper revelations. Let the refusal of some people to help you make you stronger and more resilient.
When men say no to you, let it toughen you and deepen your resolve to rise higher and higher. At some point, you may need to thank those who didn’t believe in you; you may need to thank those who hated you without a cause; you may need to thank those who refused to help you when you needed their help badly; you may need to thank those who broke your heart, for in doing so, they gave you no choice but to seek God more and more; you may need to thank those who strengthened your faith and confidence in God by refusing to do for you what they could have easily done. If the things that happened to you didn’t happen, you may not be as strong as you have become.
Tough situations bring out the gold in you. Greatness is forged in the fires of adversity. Sometimes, the things that are not in your favour are mere opportunities for you to think outside of the box. When there is a meltdown or breakdown, it’s your opportunity for a breakthrough. What matters to God is what you learn in whatever He takes you through, and who you become through it, not necessarily where He is taking you to. Dig deep and seek new revelations for every negative situation that comes your way. Deuteronomy 29: 29 says: “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Declare With Me: Every discomfort that comes my way will bring me new revelations, in Jesus’ name!
