TODAY’S SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL
It has been established that prayer is very important in the fulfilment of life’s purpose and destiny. Prayer fuels dedication to God. Dedicated men are men of prayer. Therefore, it is important to know what prayer is all about.
Now, what is prayer? Prayer is the servicing of our relationship with our Heavenly Father through the expression of our value and worship to Him, and the communication of our thoughts and desires to Him. So, at the place of prayer, we communicate with our Heavenly Father.
We express our value of Him, release our worship to Him, and communicate our thoughts and desires to Him. At the place of prayer, we let God know how much we value Him. We also let Him know what is on our mind and what we desire of Him to do for us.
This is what prayer is all about. Beloved, it is important to know that relationships are serviced by communication. Every time there is a relationship breakdown, talk breaks down. Every time your communication with your spouse or friends breaks down, your relationship with them also breaks down. Relationship is serviced by communication. That is why, the more buoyant the relationship, the more vibrant the communication. For instance, a young man who is trying to get married takes time to communicate with his fiancée often.
He is always on phone with her, talking almost endlessly. Whenever you see a husband and a wife who are not communicating much with each other, something is wrong. Beloved, our communication with God must be constant for our relationship with him to be vibrant.
Remember this: It is important to know that relationships are serviced by communication.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Do not let your relationship with God breakdown through prayerlessness.
2. Always service your altar of relationship with God by consistent prayer.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from prayerlessness. I receive the grace to keep my prayer altar burning always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
